Spring is in full effect here in Oceanside, CA! The air is full of the smell of orange blossoms and fresh grass. We love this time of year! We carry our cameras in hope of capturing the beauty of nature coming to life after a winter slumber. We found this beautiful swallowtail butterfly perched on our orange tree proudly displaying its gorgeous spotted wings.

There is no surprise that we really enjoy shooting the work of artist Cyndy Brown-Carlson. When we arrive at the shoot we can’t wait to see what she has created. Her pieces will excite any imagination! Our favorites include a peacock that is too good for any foot, a shoe that doubles as a tea kettle, and four friends headed for the Emerald City.

We were ecstatic to find out that we have received the Bride’s Choice Award from WeddingWire.com. We pride ourselves on giving the best to our couples. We are honored to receive this particular award because the only way to receive it is from our brides, and that’s the best kind of award! Thank you to all of our couples for letting everyone know that we work hard to provide our clients with the best service and professionalism as well as amazing images that tell the story of their love. Thank you!

Katie and Zack of Clickery Photography are engaged!
After shooting the wedding of Jill and Chris, Zack and I returned to our hotel room. Typically after every wedding, we enjoy going through the fun events of the day by reviewing our images. Since we traveled to Idaho from Oceanside the day before and then spent the entire day with the bride and groom, we were both pretty tired. I wanted to just go to sleep but Zack insisted that we look through the images. After a few minutes of begging, I finally gave in. We looked through most of the photographs before I came across a photo with Zack holding a card with my name on it. Confused, I asked Zack what it was. He replied, “Keep looking”. I scrolled forward on the camera and five photographs spelled out, “Katie will you marry me?”. I looked at him and he was holding a ring. I am sure I had the biggest smile on my face and I was waiting for him to put the ring on my finger and I said, “Oh wait! I’m supposed to say yes!”. Even though I have heard the engagement stories from thousands of couples in my career, I forgot to say yes. I guess I thought it was obvious.

We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jill and Chris at a magical castle in Kuna, ID. Their wedding was absolutely lovely. Jill arrived to the isle in a horse drawn carriage. The forecast called for rain but the rainclouds held off until the reception was well on its way. After a brief downpour, the sky opened up for a romantic sunset. Congratulations Jill and Chris! We had so much fun!

Dani and James are a sweet couple from Illinois. They chose to have an intimate wedding on the beach in Oceanside, CA. They brought along a few of their closest friends and family members to share their special day with. The day of their wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony was beautiful and included a moment where everyone almost went swimming due to the rising tide. It made for great laughs and a great memory. Congratulations Dani and James!

Sharon and Barry are a super fun couple from Minnesota. They wanted a sweet and intimate wedding in Las Vegas that included their closest friends and family. They had everything planned out, except photography. They decided to just have their guests be the photographers to stay within their budget. Sharon’s mom had a surprise for the happy couple, she hired us to photograph the wedding! When we arrived, Sharon and Barry were so surprised and excited that we got right into taking pictures. Congratulations Sharon and Barry!
